    @corydm27 I told my kids they can live with me forever if they want. I would never kick them out. My mom shipped me out when I was barely 17. My youngest sibling was out by 16. I would never do that to my kids.

    @scottwilson Same. I’ve just started letting them deal with the consequences of their laziness. Eat or go hungry, but don’t take it out on me. And if you eat all the junk food, enjoy feeling like crap. I’m not buying any more until the next time I shop. Also, make healthy snacks easily...

    @louisphan Yeah she keeps apologizing. I’ve told her repeatedly to stop apologizing. I’m not not mad. I’m just scared. I’m trying to give her outlets too. It’s absolutely terrifying because it’s like she feels absolutely helpless and can’t explain why she’s doing it.

    My daughter is 14 and recently started having severe bouts of depression. She’ll be fine one day and the next she’s in hysterics. I should also mention she struggles with an intellectual learning disability. She has a difficult time comprehending some things and she’s totally fine on others...

    @ccm500 The safest option is to let her go, but go as well and meet the kid. Sorry, but I’m meeting anyone my kid meets online. I wouldn’t make it awkward or hang around hovering, but showing up with her and meeting this kid face to face ensures you know exactly who she is meeting.
