Traumatized from watching my wife labour

@angelos17 You’d get transferred to the hospital just like you would at a free standing birth center.

Traumatized from watching my wife labour

@angelos17 There’s a study from 2012 that shows usually at home births shoulder dystopia pose less risk and has better outcomes than at a hospital. A lot of the time midwives or attending doctors at a home birth can react much quicker than at the hospital when you consider how much easier it is...

Traumatized from watching my wife labour

@codylnrd You just may not understand home births which is fine, a lot of people don’t especially on Reddit. It sounds scary until you know what goes on with them and how. Any emergency is an emergency, at the hospital or home. You still have medical professionals when you give birth at home, if...

What do you class as sleeping through the night?

@sass I believe for babies they (pedis and such) say sleeping thru the night is 5-7hrs at a time. Saying that, I always said my guy slept thru the night even if he woke up to eat because he’d wake to eat and then immediately go back down, he wouldn’t really be awake.

@codylnrd Home births can be entirely safe. There’s nothing wrong with them. It shouldn’t be a surprise

    Dr says I’m overfeeding

@mdnich Yeah this needs to be said more. Do not give your 9 week old cereal. It won’t hold the baby over anymore than her usual milk/formula does. It’s highly dangerous as well

Daycare swaddled my 9.5 mo for naps

@jwilliams190800 Reporting is anonymous. They won’t know it was you. I’d report it for sure. It was safe once but all it takes is him rolling over in his sleep and them not noticing, or another teacher not knowing his arms are swaddled and assuming he can roll back over.

How did you start letting your kid sleep in a separate room?

@calebtheclown We moved him to his crib in his room at like 3m, he outgrew his bassinet and the crib won’t fit in our room. He (and us) has slept much better since!! I think he likes the crib mattress more too

When should I stop calling my 2 y/o daughter fat? When will she develop self esteem?

@ukmum I used to date a Hispanic guy, and they called his brother Gordo as a full nickname. He had eating disorders and very low self esteem directly from them calling him that, and never stopping. It doesn’t matter how common in your culture it is, if it’s still rude.

Did anyone’s baby sleep an insane amount after 4 month shots?

@rohanakumara I’ve seen ‘the better the daytime naps the better the nighttime sleep’ 🤣 ah I don’t think it matters much anyways, baby sleep sucks most of the time!! I don’t think our guys ever slept past 2hrs but I’ve never tracked!

Did anyone’s baby sleep an insane amount after 4 month shots?

@rohanakumara My baby has his 4m shots next week and from what I’ve read on here (I’ve been searching posts about it) it’s wicked normal to sleep a ton!! A lot more normal to have a reaction to the 4m than the 2m ones it seems. Side question; is there a specific reason you don’t let her sleep...
