    Upset

@pawnnolonger The nurses don’t want to bottle feed the babies. They just want the parents there to do it all for them.

    When your newborn is 40

@sunny12051988 I’m going to miss my mom so much when her time comes. I think about it every single day since bringing my baby home. Thank you for sharing this. Tears ❤️

    Upset

@katrina2017 I don’t understand how some of these professionals don’t understand we have jobs to get to in order to survive. Like how they’re at their job right now…while asking parents where they’ve been. Like I get they need to note it, but it’s just not something most people can compromise on...

Feeling Hopeless - transition to formula help?

@monikahortons Please don’t blame yourself or push yourself past your limits. I had a very complicated, second traumatic birth and a previous loss that compounded my PTSD once my baby was in the NICU at 33 weeks after emergency labor. Pumping makes your cervix contract, and it seriously...

New dad, totally overwhelmed and exhausted, seeks advice

@uwpx So, this is an unpopular opinion but literally every single parent has some form of PPD/PPA. Every single one. Yes, some have more severe symptoms than others but it’s not an excuse to bow out of parenting. It’s just not. We all have to take care of ourselves and push through the tough...

How to make baby gain weight?

@flightlessbird Use neosure. That’s the success story you’re looking for. Breast milk alone won’t enable him to gain the weight as quickly as he needs.

    Feeding Aversion SOS

@jsw3883 Yep, your baby will do so much better with you guys for sure. I think one of the things is to just introduce it, let them reject it, take it away, wait 5 minutes. Maybe a few less if baby shows hunter cues in this case. I haven’t read that far but I can look more into it.

    Feeding Aversion SOS

@jsw3883 I’m so sorry. Have you tried another bottle? We’ve found success with the Lansinoh bottles after trying Philips avent & of course the NICU staple, dr browns. She took to them right away and was previously getting so upset and was falling asleep or wasn’t into it for a couple days which...

Shyloh has been diagnosed with NEC

@barneyo These preemie NICU babies are absolute warriors, and so are mamas + parents. Praying for you and your baby Shyloh. ❤️❤️❤️

is it okay to take baby out now?

@idiotonabike You can totally go on a walk with your baby. It’s pretty unlikely they’d get sick in fresh air outside :) going to the grocery store or a big family gathering is another story.

    Am I wrong ?

@melissa43 You’re an amazing mother. There is absolutely nothing wrong with staying home and resting. Your baby knows you love him and knows you’re his mother. He is spending the vast majority of his time resting and peacefully growing right now ❤️ you should get some too, take care of yourself.

@iamnotmagnolia This is the only way we’ve been able to do that. LO’s neck is doing great.

    Newbie - sorry, it's long

@helentina This. Going into the hospital against the nurses advice saved me and my baby’s life! Don’t stop OP. Get some answers. Contractions that early for me were indicating baby was in distress and needed out. 33 weeker is home with us after a 24 day NICU stay. You got this.
