    So. Freaking. Burnt. Out

@cornerstoneeg I'm so glad it's working well for you! I had the same thoughts when I started doing this. Yesterday my husband had a ton of meetings and told me he was going to be working late. So, during that time I prepped a casserole and put it in the fridge and when dinner time rolled around...

    So. Freaking. Burnt. Out

@cornerstoneeg I totally understand. I didn't wait for him to fully stop crying. I just waited until he started having moments of playing or looking at books and wasn't laying in front of the door crying the whole time. Once I saw him starting to entertain himself, I would move up the time...

    So. Freaking. Burnt. Out

@cornerstoneeg I shut the door. You can turn the doorknob so the lock is on the outside and lock it or you can put the babyproof plastic cover on the doorknob. My 4 yr old has a clock in her room and I set a timer on it for one hour. After that hour she can leave her room and she opens my son's...

    So. Freaking. Burnt. Out

@cornerstoneeg Hey! I didn't read all of the comments so idk if anyone has said this or not. The encouragement you are getting is great, but I'm also about practical advice. I have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old and I'm 26 weeks pregnant. I've been a SAHM since my first was born. I feel you, girl. So...

    What's the primary responsibility?

@ruben1979 My husband and I prioritized our rooms for cleaning. The living room and kitchen are the 2 I focus on maintaining throughout the day. At the end of the day, our 2 yr-old and my husband pickup the toys in the basement (our main play area) and her room before bed. If I have time to pick...

    Help me eat lunch!

@angel222 Mom of 3: 4 yr old, 2 yr old, and 3 month old. On Sunday I do all of my prep for the week. I cut blocks of cheese and cube ham or salami. I cut veggies and put it in containers that have sections and I put ranch or hummus in a section. I make sandwiches but without mayo and mustard. I...

    Decided to homeschool for now

@sistertabitham Yes! I think he would love it. My son will be 3 this month and we did it with him last year. You can get it from Busy Toddler online. It's just under $40 for the whole curriculum. Even if you don't stick to it religiously, it still has great activity ideas.

    Decided to homeschool for now

@tiffy420 It's so good! I really liked it. If you do the whole thing in one go, it can be as short as 30 minutes, depending on your toddler's attention. But I broke the day up. It has 2 activities for each day. So I would do the morning routine and the book after we decided to get our day going...

    Decided to homeschool for now

We live in an area where the pandemic is not taken seriously. But, our oldest (going into kindergarten) has health issues that put her in the high risk category. They just announced that masks with be optional for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. So, we decided that I will homeschool...
