Your unconventional schedules and scheduling “hacks”

@tracy777 We don’t do a schedule at all, we just have a “sleep goal”. As long as my toddler sleeps at least nine hours…everything else works itself out. We get out of the house and do plenty during the day but not rushed at all. Hell, we have a road trip to my parents today and I still haven’t...

Genuinely curious - why do people choose to keep having kids despite health risks?

@girl4god86 Everything pregnancy is different. One can be low risk with the second being high or also low. And vice versa. Some people just really want a larger family that much

For those of you who had options, what made you pick the SAHP life?

@hew0007 I couldn’t fathom dropping our son off at daycare. Or paying to do so. Plus I am an etsy seller and do closet resale so I have plenty of expendable cash of my own but only have to spend about 3-4 hours a week to make that happen. It’s a win/win for me to be at home. Plus I can be a...

@%D7%A0%D7%95%D7%A6%D7%A8%D7%99 Same. Haven’t been married as long but I have a card attached to our joint account and I have my own that my small business pays me through. My husband knows I’m an excellent spender and very frugal so there’s never a discussion or question of what I’m doing. If...

How do you accomplish the mindset change to be comfortable/confident in your decision to be a SAHP?

@oddduck123 Realize that anyone who judges you is projecting or envies your situation. And then there are the outliers who couldn’t do it even if they wanted to or they have the resources but are too extroverted. One of my close friends is like this. She’s convinced her child will thrive more in...

Anyone ever experience an off interaction w/ one of your kid’s providers?

@semaj02 I ripped him to shreds on google and it’s the top viewed review. It doesn’t feel like enough though.

Anyone ever experience an off interaction w/ one of your kid’s providers?

@techo LMAO between him and my 70+ year old in laws it sure does feel like it. Gawd. They were recommending giving water and rice cereal when he was young. Well that meant they didn’t watch him until he was close to a year old lmao

Anyone ever experience an off interaction w/ one of your kid’s providers?

@roxchristian Dude. Our first pediatrician was anti breastfeeding He came in the room for our 8 week and told me my baby was “too big” (he’s 97th percentile) and he would be “anemic and breastfeeding has no benefits so just use formula and cow’s milk. I better not find out that he’s drinking...

Why can’t people mind their own business?

@kurtschultz It’s because having an only is mildly vilified and it’s not the norm. So it makes others uncomfortable. I don’t agree with that it’s just what I’ve heard people tell my mom and dad since I’m an adult only.
