@phideltbeers I spray right away, but mine is only pooping every couple of days since starting purees. I leave the sprayed poop diaper in the bucket till I wash it. I use liners and they are really helpful for making spraying easier.

@recoveringfaith I did this too except I drilled 1/2" (or whatever the biggest drill bit I had was) sized holes in the bottom instead of cutting the bottom off. I was afraid I'd flush a wipe if I cut the whole bottom out.

@theophilus2019 Honestly, our flats are all receiving blankets. No newborn size. It was definitely bulky at first.

@theophilus2019 My newborn went through 20 flats a day. Your mileage may vary. Black Friday was a good sales day for me buying covers last year. There's a website that has prefolds seconds that are cheaper. Maybe cottonbabies? I forget. They aren't always in stock, but it might be an option.

@billdyer You mentioned blood tests, did they check your titer for rubella and chicken pox? Those are things to check and update a few months before pregnancy if you are not immune.
