    @ptrnoy777 you can teach them at the same time. your husband in english, you in french. no need for flashcards either. it's not that difficult to say "une voiture rouge" "tes chaussettes bleues" and so on. for numbers you can count with hum, tell him "il y a deux pommes"... i like children...

    Question for trilingual families

    @meshaa my nephew Gabriel was upset when i said words in german and said very clearly "apfel" is dad, mimi is manzana (both my sister and I spoke spanish to him) and the common language to us three adults was french (so he actually said "nooooo, apfel c'est papa! mimí c'est manzana!"

    @jmz bilingual kids have often no delay at all. what I mean is that bilingualism is not the cause of speech delay. bilingual children are not most often delayed than monolingual children.
