    Fear withholding pregnancy

@scottcutarug The fear is natural--it's a big change!--, and as larger women we hear so much fear-mongering about our bodies. But you can do it! There are a couple increased risks, but those risks aren't life-threatening and are minor overall (there's also some benefits to being larger!). The...

Trying for a baby while being plus size

@marko959 Weight loss does not appear to have an effect on fertility, with the possible exception of women with PCOS (and even then the science is strange--an increase in pregnancies but not live births, eg). Additionally, it's entirely possible that the slight lowered fertility seen in heavier...

TTC and had first fertility appointment. What a shit show

@pollinnna230 Find a new RE. Ozempic is contraindicated for couples attempting to conceive. It can cause fetal harm and has a long half-life. Even if you lost weight on it (not everyone does, and the average weight lost is not really all that much), you'll have to discontinue it several...

    TTC

@garrettholliman2001 I would use both, not one or the other. BBT can confirm ovulation occurred, which an LH surge can't, which can be useful for PCOS when ovulation might be uncertain.

    TTC When Overweight

@magicalmoons There really isn't much you can do. I was in an unusual situation of working with a fertility clinic from the start (same sex couple) and it took us 10 tries all told, 5 of which were medicated. Our RE wasn't even slightly concerned about fertility despite the number of tries--we...

    TTC

@garrettholliman2001 Basal body temperature tracking can also help, especially with PCOS where you can have multiple LH surges in a cycle.

    First scan

@thundergirl96 It's pretty common, ovulation dates can vary a lot even in women with otherwise identical cycle lengths. Seeing a heartbeat is an excellent sign.
