Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@tiberiu31 I had to stop nursing during the day when my son got teeth around five months. I still offer the breast during the night. I didn’t think you could take domperidone that long. My doctor wouldn’t allow me to stay on it any longer than a few months.

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@imnotatelevision My left is a low supplier because I had a lumpectomy for breast cancer a few years ago. It angers me that no one ever warned me that it would impact my supply.

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@ojr Aw. It really is emotional isn’t it? Did you feel better once a decision is made? I think once I decide I will be in a better place. I remember initially when I tried with both breasts but only one worked. The left only produced a few drops. I finally made peace with that and stopped trying...

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@jakeisawesome333 I sometimes wonder if I can still comfort feed when my milk dries up. If he’s just suckling for comfort, I don’t need milk right?

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@yourn1ghtmare So relatable. I’m not gonna lie— it’s been a long and stressful journey. And I do wonder what it could be like if I just stopped. I feel like every time I think stopping is a good idea, I end up having a night where he is upset and then comforted by my breast which then makes me...

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@cindia I hear ya. I feel like I’ve spent ten months trying to increase supply.

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

@cindia I stopped having him latch during the day when teeth came in at six months. Since then I just offer the breast at night… and I think he just nibbles but doesn’t get much.

Hey low suppliers, when did you stop breastfeeding?

I’m almost 11 months post partum and am starting to consider stopping. I’ve been combo feeding since birth due to supply issues. From month 4-8 I was on domperidone and was able to pump about 3-4 oz a day. Now I’m back to about one ounce per day. I honestly don’t know why I keep doing this...

    I am severely sleep deprived

@satan_loves_you What time do you go to bed yourself? I sometimes sleep as early as 8pm… but I know that will ensure I get my needed sleep. Could you possibly do the same and get your partner to do last feeding of the night and then bring baby to you after?

    I am severely sleep deprived

@satan_loves_you I would try to focus on improving your sleep quality. It was my naturopath who got me on melatonin. She also suggested Gaba, but I haven’t tried that yet. I’m sure it isn’t the tea from trader Joes that is helping, but I don’t want to give it up just in case:) I also can’t nap...

    I am severely sleep deprived

@satan_loves_you Posts like these break my heart. I wish I could help! My LO is six months and while we didn’t officially endure the four month sleep regression I would still say that time period was really rough. Is your baby waking to feed? Just curious as to what is disrupting your sleep...

What do you tell your pediatrician about sleep?

@yoshinat0r I would think babies who aren’t bed sharing wake more? That’s exactly why I do bed share—so I can get my sleep! 😂
