Toddler plates & bowls - Plastic? "Bamboo" (aka melamine)? Actual bamboo/wood? Something else? What does your family use?

@jcm2000 the new ones might be sturdier then! i have a disability that limits my hand strength and i switched to corelle initially because i was constantly chipping or fully breaking dishes by dropping/banging them into things.

Toddler plates & bowls - Plastic? "Bamboo" (aka melamine)? Actual bamboo/wood? Something else? What does your family use?

@jcm2000 they do break into a zillion pieces but like i’ve said i’ve only had 1 break in 4 years over multiple sets so it isn’t an issue/worry for me. if you do thrift corelle make sure you google the pattern as some older patterns (pre-80s) have lead paint!

@tobiahjude99 we use corelle, we’ve only broken 1 in 4 years and that was thrown right on concrete.

@johnnyvee885 not a traditional nursery chair but i really preferred the rocking la-z-boy recliner i had with my son vs the normal glider we have now (we moved cross country or we’d still have that recliner, they last forever!)

FTM — All my baby hand-me-downs clothes reek of toxic detergent and I can’t wash the smell out

@ch3apshad3s try using RLR it’s what i use to strip cloth diapers and it should get the smell out. if you don’t want to go that route try running the wash cycle with NO detergent multiple times until the smell is gone and drying in bright sunlight.
