@butterscoth I’ll look into that account, thanks! I’m sleeping with baby (just me) on a firm mattress. I’m against the wall and his bassinet is tall enough to make a tall border on the other side of the mattress. When he was in his bassinet he would wiggle until I would wake up to him crying...
@anonymoususer I wear him in a wrap carrier when I need to eat or catch up on laundry, but the lights and sounds stimulate him awake unless I am constantly moving around.
@dreamergirl I have one that is right next to the bed and the side sort of squishes down when weight is applied to it, and it hasn’t really helped my baby feel any closer to me. I would try to just put my hand on him when he fussed and he would just cry until held or was whole body against me...
@thecup How long does this normal last? I guess I just didn’t think it was normal because I have a lot of friends who had babies around the same time and they are all getting sooo much more sleep than I am at his age.
He’ll eat right before bed, and whenever he doesn’t rock back to sleep which...
@futuredoctorofgod That’s exactly where I was at before I made the choice to be intentional about our sleeping arrangement. What are your daughters symptoms? Have you tired hypoallergenic formula yet?
@matteo Regressions are so maddening but the 4 month one hit me like a train. I think my little guy is going through one now at almost 8 months, because he was sleeping through the night most nights for weeks, but now waking up once per night. But I’ll take it! Better than waking up every 40-90...
@matteo The sleep routine was/is solid. He’s just a wiggly guy! At 5 months, something just clicked and he started sleeping in longer stretches and it’s only been getting better and better since. He has always been happy guy while awake and is living his best life, and now that I’m getting...
@begee What would you recommend then? Because otherwise, my baby isn’t sleeping unless being held. So he’s either crying for hours in his bassinet while I wear noise canceling headphones (cruel), or I’m sleep deprived holding him all day and accidentally falling asleep on the couch or rocking...
@cgmaj44 Thank you for the idea! His current bassinet does have a side that squishes down so I would put my arm across is and put my hand on him when he fussed but that didn’t really work. He wanted to be held or be against me. At this his age/weight I can’t justify buying a whole new bassinet...
@live4christ2016 Our routine throughout the day is: wake, eat, play, sleep. And I do a smaller bottle right before bed. He’s sleepy at night, but still wakes often and needs to be rocked back to sleep.
@rollo22 Our routine throughout the day is: wake, eat, play, sleep. But the last few weeks I have been topping him off with half of a bottle before bed. I thought maybe it was working at first, but a week later and it’s back to waking up.
@dcouchotvore Getting him down isn’t the problem. He’ll go down quietly in his bassinet. It’s the waking up every 20 minutes after that was killing me. He seems to stay asleep, at least 20-40 minutes longer if he’s next to me when he stirs awake.
