Lead content in baby puffs and cassava based foods

@javier_is_life Makes sense! And yeah I don’t necessarily trust lead safe mama. I’m sure she’d right about some things but I see a lot of fear mongering for sure. Thanks for the link!

Lead content in baby puffs and cassava based foods

@javier_is_life Interesting, what is clean label project? Is it a good way for me to tell if a good is safe for babies? Because it’s rough out here trying to determine what’s best haha. I was confused by the Gerber ones because I thought rice is bad and the gerber ones are rice

T.V. in living room with newborn, is this bad?

@zman0101 In our family we do zero tv or screentime, we decided to do the AAP recommendations of no screen time before 2 other than video chatting. I know that’s not sustainable for some families but it works well for ours. We were never big tv watchers before anyways. We just wanted our baby to...

Lead content in baby puffs and cassava based foods

@torn12 I’m unsure about the happy baby ones because those are rice based which I thought we should avoid but now I’m not sure! Maybe I’ll just abandon puffs haha

    Dad and baby name rhyme

@wannasmile I don’t really think OP needs a million comments saying “But Alex and Felix don’t rhyme!” Both names have the same ending sound, which is what OP is trying to see if that’s an issue.

Traumatized from watching my wife labour

@mumof2boys Normally you’re supposed to try to play it immediately after the traumatic event (in the study they did within 6 hours) but couldn’t hurt to try!

    Glass bottles keep cracking

@pokerfaceblonde Maybe it’s just me, but I find it mildly annoying that people are responding to your question about how to warm glass bottles with “we just don’t warm them!” Like, how is that helpful to your question?

    Random baby girl name poll

@happykitsune I know a Romina and I LOVE her name. I truly think it’s an amazing name. It just feels beautiful and bold.

New dad, totally overwhelmed and exhausted, seeks advice

@uwpx In my opinion it would be unreasonable for her to do zero nights at all. Even though recovery is tough, it’s hard on ANYONE to do nights entirely by themselves. I’m surprised more comments aren’t saying that it’s unfair to you to not have any help at nights. See if you two can work out...

    Did r/ScienceBasedParenting just shut down?

@christfollower1993 I am not familiar of how stuff like this works on Reddit. What does this mean really? Does it mean the mods of the sub shut it down? Or does it mean Reddit itself shut down the sub for some reason?

    4 Weeks- don’t judge lol

Eating behavior in babies/toddlers - what to support, when to actively intervene?

@son_of_belial Let your daughter eat her fill. If she’s still eating, she’s still hungry, even if it seems like a lot to you! It’s best not to restrict your child from eating if they still want more

Help me guess the babies name! It’s in the Bible

@bfc I’ve seen a couple influencers lately with kids called Nehemiah so I feel like that’s it. Update when you find out!

    Is this weird??

@airbornenita42 Not at all! Use the name!

7 month old needs a name (please be respectful/supportive...and help!)

@bob33 I knew an Azalea and she went by her full first name. It never felt too long or cumbersome to say. To me it’s like Olivia - technically Olivia has 4 syllables but they roll off the tongue very easily and it doesn’t feel like a long name. How about Francesca? Off topic but I also found...

My 9-month old hates solids, help!

@cns I do think you’re overthinking this. 9 month old won’t be eating full meals yet generally. Offering foods every half hour probably helps maintain her lack of interest. She’s definitely not hungry every 30 minutes! I would try offering food at mealtimes or snacks in between if you want...

Ambient noise and other low movement videos around babies?

@jyohmesheh One thing I’d say is important is to have ample time in the day that is not filled by ambient background sound. For kids, that doesn’t do anything for them except be additional noise and can sometimes overwhelm kids. There was a post here recently about a parent whose kid started...
