What’s everyone’s twins going for Halloween?

@bevan77 My 9m identical girls are going as eevee and pikachu! A likes pikachu and B like eevee, so A is eevee and B is pikachu.

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@timothythe2nd She for sure wasn't reading cues well lol, and her intentions were coming from a positive place. The reason I bring the twin aspect into it isn't because they're harder but as an explanation that there's 2 of them and 1 of me for most of the day. Which is a big reason why they...

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@katrina2017 I think its pretty natural in conversation to bring up personal experiences, unsolicited advice is the stuff that sucks lol. So far with parenting talk, sometimes just hearing other people's experiences can help with a future situation, in a positive or negative light! I had been...

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@jeff325 Or just look at it in a totally different way! Putting through the lens of their emotions instead of the actual persons.

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@jeff325 That's a really good point, I was saying it to explain that I didn't feel like it was my fault because I can't hold them both in a supportive way and it was inevitable. Dosent mean that that's what she heard or didn't have an internal commentary going.

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@chie0801 This makes total sense and is a great way to put words to this kind of situation

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@jamesrabbit That's true and we all know it starts right away, like when your 20 weeks pregnant and vomiting. I should probably look at it as her sharing the experience and not really wanting to have a conversation about it all. Her story about getting Tricare to cover her first born helmet...

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@lilly45 True, it is it's own unique experience and maybe that's why me feeling like she was ignoring the twin part bugged me. I'm sure a lot of singleton parents don't even think too because "it's just life with two, I have two, it's basically the same". My nice response when people say that...

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@simluk Right, like appreciate the support and what your trying to do here but I dont think achieving whatever your goal is, but thanks for letting me know? But you can't say that, lol

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

@chryslee09 This is very much true! I've basically stopped hanging out in singleton parenting community's because it's just...a lot. A lot of judgement, a lot of (what I hope is) miscommunication or not getting the point of the conversation, people seem to push the guilt. It's that idea that...

Is it a FTM thing? A singleton thing? A personality thing?

We had some family, friends, and friends of the family over for our twins baptism, they're 3.5 months. Afterwards one of my childhood friends wife struck up a conversation with me. Her: I noticed the babies heads are looking a little...flat Me: Oh yeah, they're going to be helmet kids, going...

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@bible2 This makes me think of my friends grandma who used to say she always slept with clothes on in case of a house fire. I get it now, by the time you wake up.... Lol

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@sesquiterpene There are times I know my alarm has been going off for a while while I sleep and all I can think is " oh god....did they wake up in the middle of the night?". It's just part of the game, we can't help them if we don't take care of ourselves, that's what I tell myself at least lol.

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@overcoming1 Is it a special mattress that helps with flattening? I wish i had heard of it!

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@faye58 It's mostly me trying to figure out if I was being mom shamed for not being upset about them needing helmets, but there is some info. The only thing you have to worry about is cleaning them once a day and my clinician says to take them off if their in car seats for an hour drive.

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@faye58 The helmets aren't bad at all, I made a post about me and a singleton family friend talking about them if you want to look. Really I was worried about taking care of another thing with two of them and it's not bad at all. The first week adjustment was a lot to deal with but after that...

Moms! How did you decide if you wanted a vaginal birth or a C-section?

@heavenforme I had my twins 1/24/23 and it was also a planned csection and I agree with everything you mention. The last thing I wanted was an emergency section or even worse, a vaginal for one and a section for the other. In a twin birth month group I was in a mom said her Dr said that was...

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@richmarvin It's weird shaken not stirred cocktail of both! But yes, wild is the right word for it lol

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@lisa Ooof, I get why she does and it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to her about it. Because babies will baby lol

"They slept like angels, they always do!"

@inquisitivesoul I assume a lot of these grandparents didn't have multiples and now they're keeping their mouths shut once they realize it's a different ball game lol
