What’s a good forward facing carrier?

@playingforthelord A back carry would be much better.

    Wash routine reassurance

@highlyfavoured1 I wouldn’t be using bleach every wash. It can be hard on the diapers.

Best Play Yard/Pack n Play Mattress (in Canada🇨🇦)?

@evall If I’m wrong, correct me, but I was under the belief that many pack n plays do not recommend other mattresses in their products? Beds are one thing but pack n plays either want their brand mattress or just the thin pad they provide.

Running a clean washer cycle with just bleach and my washer is full of suds 😅 am I using too much detergent?

@mrzaguilar777 With that water hardness I’d switch to the tide liquid instead of powder. As far as I know the powder is meant for a water hardness of 150-200ppm but the liquid would be perfect for you. Do you use the same detergent for your clothes? Is it a used washer from a previous owner...

    Diaper rash is inevitable

@cathya Nope, not normal to always get rashes. If you change every 2-3 hours and have a moisture wicking material at night it’ll significantly reduce risk of rashes.

    Help pls

@aymgoa Tide powder is for like 150-200ppm so it was causing major detergent buildup which can also stink.

Am I supposed to run 3 whole washer cycles every 1-2 days for 3-8 tiny rectangles?

@wisper Two cycles, hot, with detergent. Spray solids off before the first wash. That’s it. I wash my son’s diapers with his clothes.

    Help pls

@aymgoa If you have soft water you should be using tide liquid free and clear, and you need to rinse rinse rinse until all buildup is out. Stripping is for mineral buildup not detergent.

    FTM - Nursery Questions

@reekypear It’s a lot safer long term to change diapers on the floor. Go for a crib and no changing table and just get an easy to clean mat.

    When to throw away prefolds

@enochswalk Did you do a trip with RLR? I’d do that then do some washes.

Leaks just starting, 7.5 months, advice?

@keris Probably needs boosters. That’s one downside to AIOs, it’s not uncommon that they don’t have enough absorbency.

    Change frequency

@shilva What inserts are you using? If they are microfiber I’d replace with cotton. Microfiber doesn’t last forever and doesn’t hold a lot but is often sold with newborn diapers especially. I usually tried to stick to every two hours or when it made sense in the routine. So if his wake window...
