    @araxi You’re very welcome. I’m just navigating uncharted territory because I didn’t have this particular problem growing up. I grew up lower income and now I’m upper middle class. I’m also in a neighborhood where many people opt for private school so there are different social problems.

    @jamela Yep I’ve enforced the no screen rule more than once when they’re playing.

    @thatdanishgirl Ugh yes I realize this. I think I’ve personally have come such a long way on my own self esteem journey that it’s hard to not feel triggered by this little girl!

    @sheenpure6 This is the general consensus that I’m getting. It’s easier to tell my daughter and explain to her why we don’t say those things but sometimes 8yo triggers me where I immediately react and turn protective.

    @mikejones56 I will try this. Her parents seem fine but I don’t know what’s happening behind closed doors. We actually hung out more often in the past prior to the pandemic. It is a great reminder to build each other up. Thank you.

    @katrina2017 We are actually friends with her parents and hung out together here and there. They aren’t rude or snarky so that’s why this is all so confusing

    @bht Yes it is very difficult sometimes to discern when kids are being kids when they seem grown enough to be intentional. That’s why I didn’t know what to do and reached out to field other opinions.
