    @neo1314 My wife said kids soon or I’m leaving. So we had a son and it’s been great so far. If she’s firm on not having kids and you do, you have to make a decision. Time waits for nobody.

    @aihi I can take 12 weeks but can’t afford to do that. I’ll get 2 weeks paid and then 2 weeks unpaid. That should be enough for me. It is what it is. Oh, and it can’t be broken up into different months; it has to be done all at once.

    @davidspetri We find stuff almost daily for free on Facebook Marketplace or local Moms groups on Facebook. Strollers, cribs, sometimes formula etc. Almost no need to buy anything new aside from a car seat.

    @lovelikeyou 3 months off is too much time to take time off if you don’t have enough money to do so. Babies are expensive.

    @lovelikeyou His kids are some of the nicest, most well-brought up kids I’ve met. Time taken off for a newborn doesn’t equate to a good or bad father. Maybe you make a ton of money and can do that. Many people don’t and can’t take that much time off. If they did, their kids may not be taken...

    @grub My boss took a week off, some took one day off lol. Women are definitely prioritized in this case.

    @iserveonemaster I suppose if they already had a bit of money saved up. Personally, I don’t have a lot for emergency savings. Most of my money is saved for retirement.
