    @simplysamie Nope, this is super inappropriate. Both because parents aren’t allowed to be present during changing and because a public school is promoting a church event. It might be one thing if you were part of an organized activity where routines were established (gymnastics, dance, etc)...

    New parent tip from pediatrician

    @brcseac Not really. Ours is ~25 days and he JUST started to get some small activities—a couple of minutes of tummy time on our chests, a short walk outside, etc. Before, all he (or we, the adults) did was sleep when he wasn’t eating, basically. If he’s not crying or fussing, he’s fine.

    @tdsamuel There was a study conducted on daycares, I can’t remember where now, that came up a LOT on that sub. But it was actually a quite small sample size in another country (was it Canada?) with different social structures in place than the US. But trying to point out any of that would always...

    @runaway887 I left that sub due to its really weird attitudes on working moms and daycare. Whenever that study came up, nobody wanted to discuss the issues with how it was conducted, even though it was perfectly acceptable to do so with other studies.
