    Help with leaks!

@throne The way to fix pretty much any leak is really fit. Compression leaks may be due to overstuffed diapers (too much pressure in there total). I use cotton though so I am not familiar with any of the fibers you use, or how fast/slow they absorb. I know hemp absorbs slowly so he could flood...

    On a first-name basis with 2-yo

@stop_cern_idea Each of my kids have gone through a phase where they called us by name. After a few weeks/months they went back to mommy/daddy lol

    Help with leaks!

@throne Hmm. Up the back may be a compression leak bc he's so young (and on his back a lot of the time). Out the legs would be a fit issue. It seems weird, but putting the diaper higher than normal on the back and doing the waist one snap tighter may help. To upload images youd need to use imgur...

    3.5yo, 2yo and NB? Am I crazy?

@angeliabell When my Third was born, Second turned 2yo ten days later, and 16 days after that, First turned 4yo. We hoped for a Fourth with the same 23.5m gap but it ended up being 3y instead. Her bday is between Second and First's. We all bed/room share in some form or another, and have the...

Need encouragement… Dr wants me to stop BF, close to failure to thrive, slow gain

@kars Neither LCs nor peds are trained in identifying oral ties. I highly suggest seeing a pediatric dentist or an ENT for a proper eval. If no ties, is there a suck/swallow issue? Have you done any weighted feeds? You say babe is gaining slowly, but are they having a normal amount of diapers...

    Help with leaks!

@throne Are you making sure to point his penis downward? If so, you likely have a fit issue. Where does he leak from?

How did you reveal your pregnancy to your S.O.?

@narasa12 I had been planning on testing on a Sunday, but then realized I had plans to hike a local mountain with friends that day and I didn't want to test right before going out. So I tested on Saturday instead, and got a faint but definitely there positive. Waited hours for the husband to...

    Help with leaks!

@throne What you have pulled up there are often called "wings." The rise Im talking about is the center of the front of the diaper (in your image, the top of the sun) where you can snap up the excess fabric to make the diaper smaller. A little pocket is formed and that pocket should point...

    Help with leaks!

@throne The excess fabric where the rise is should be tucked upwards. It looks like its going downwards right now. That can cause gaps at the legs. To check, try to slip your fingers in the little pocket that is formed. Your fingers should point upward toward his belly.

    Income needed for 3 kids

@morgannicole555 It's all about budget. My family has never made more than $75k/yr and we are expecting our 4th.

Everyone seems to have a routine, and I feel like I’m just winging it…is this okay or should I make adjustments? I’m trying to build a stash

@isuphloyd You're doing great! Building a stash can be hard work, so go easy on yourself if you have off days. You could add a second pump per day if you wanted. But there is nothing wrong with feeding on demand and getting a little extra here and there.

    Babygoal v. Nora’s v. Thirsties

@wisdom08 I've used Thirsties covers on all three of my kids, and have bought plenty used as well. Some of my oldest covers are 7 years old and going strong. No experience with the other brands, I went with Thirsties bc I like it's made in USA. I don't mind paying a little extra for that.

    Cloth diapering toddler & infant?

@menacebysociety You only need to treat used diapers. I didnt strip or bleach wash between my kids. And while they arent in the same size diapers yet, they get washed all together.

Nesting hard. House gutted. Now for nappies!

@theologyofone 4 covers! Im impressed. OP has nearly 70 diapers that would need a cover, thus my suggestion for just a few more. Certainly not required, I started with 6 and used only those for 8m. But I only had 24 diapers (prefolds).

@terrihoop I would get 1-3 more covers, but that looks like a great mixed stash!
