My kid wakes up every day at 4am and I’m drowning

@provers1717 Yes! We were able to push back her wake up time consistently. We moved her bedtime back by half an hour - that took about two weeks to fully “stick.” Previously we were giving up on bedtime shifts after a week. We also started doing more things to tire her out. More running around...

My kid wakes up every day at 4am and I’m drowning

@tinisha Funny enough, I put her in heavier fleece PJ's last night, and she slept until 5:30. Which I will absolutely take. Then I came to my parents house to get a break, and she took a 3 hour nap in her room here which is way warmer than her room at home. So you may be onto something...

My kid wakes up every day at 4am and I’m drowning

@cristina49 Sadly I have no control over the time, daycare manages that. But she’s moving up rooms so I will check when their nap is

My kid wakes up every day at 4am and I’m drowning

@stuart1717 How did you get bedtime that late? Like she is WIPED by 6:15, it is a Herculean effort to get her to stay up even to 6:45.

My kid wakes up every day at 4am and I’m drowning

@wc0476 I just exhaled while reading your comment. Thank you so much from one early riser mom to another We could do a much better job of pushing back bed time. We have pushed it back to 7 for a week at a time, but she really wants to be in bed by 6:30 so we always let it slip back, and chalk...

My kid wakes up every day at 4am and I’m drowning

Okay so, my 18 month old has always been an early riser. She goes to sleep wonderfully, mostly good sleeper through the night, but for long stretches of her life she has woken up between 4-5. Recently, she was sleeping until 6-7, but then the last 3 weeks she started waking up squarely at 4am...

@jaymes I got it last year. No one else was hit that hard but I was out of commission for a week and almost had to go to the hospital. Worst illness I’ve ever had.
