    @nateprazuch These 2 are more societal: The most common one is that people are sicker, and bigger, than they used to be. People have more chronic illnesses (laundry list of medical diagnoses) that can lead to complications for more straightforward hospitalizations like needing IV antibiotics...

    @drewc Nurse, here. I have had conversations with nurses that are about to or have retired since I graduated, nursing (healthcare in general) is not like it used to be.
