@sam77 Those power dynamics aren’t healthy. My husband would never try to isolate me from anyone. Nor would I do that to him. We see my mom at least once a week, sometimes more.

@sam77 And that’s not his call to make. Unless she’s outright abusing your daughter- and she isn’t- you’re her mother, and you get a say in who your daughter is around.

@grandmaof4 This is one of the most rigid boundaries I’ve ever heard of, and my son was born at 34 weeks and came home weighing less than five pounds. I feel like this baby was the perfect excuse to control OP.
